Setting or changing your challenge questions

As an additional level of security, you must set three challenge questions and answers.

These questions and answers are used to verify that you are the legitimate owner of the account. If you ever forget your password, you will have to provide the correct answers to your challenge questions before you can reset your password and recover access to your account.

To set or change your challenge questions

  1. In the toolbar, under your user name, click My Preferences.
  2. Before you can set or change challenge questions, you need to enter your current password to unlock the fields. Click CLICK HERE TO EDIT SECURITY SETTINGS.

  3. In the Security Check field, enter your current password, and then click UNLOCK.

  4. For each of the Challenge questions, type an answer to that question in the corresponding Answer field.
    Optionally, you can click anywhere in a Question field to choose a different question from the dropdown list. Be sure to choose questions and answers that you will be able to remember.

  5. When you are finished, click CHANGE QUESTIONS/ANSWERS.
